NaNoWriMo Hours Left to Write

Family members visited this past Thanksgiving week; kids and adults all hoping for gorgeous sunny, swimming days. Instead, the weather was horrible. Downpours, scattered showers and bleak skies prevailed. However, we managed one magnificent day on Paradise Island, sitting on the ultra sandy white beach, under a hot heavy sunny sky. We enjoyed jet ski rides, walks on the beach, yoga stretches and yummy Pina Colidas - virgin and not.

A Long Way to Go

This Royal Palm tree sits majestically in front of a neighbor's house down the street. Notice the huge, green vines growing up the tree. I've often stopped to admire the intricate weaving of the vine, wondering how long it took to grow.

In the Green

I put up the Christmas tree today.

Oh, you think that's odd that I have the time, what
with trying to write 50,000 words by November 30th for NaNoWriMo? Or, that it's not even Thanksgiving yet, and Christmas is about six weeks away, so why the tree? Is that what you mean?

NaNoWriMo on Target

My second day of working at the casino is now behind me.

In need of a change, I happened to drive past the casino when the brainstorm hit me: I could work the casino. I could do it!

Day Two of NaNoWriMo

Just completed day two of NaNoWriMo with a total of 3,546 words. Only 46,454 words left to write. Oy, vey!

I also discovered that according to NaNo, I'm a rebel. Little surprise there. More on that -  maybe, at a later date, as Carpal Tunnel sets into my left hand. God certainly did not intend our hands to write on keyboards, for sure. Oh, the pains of being a writing!
